Antique Pocket Watch Silver

What is the hope for the antique pieces from time to keep time?
I just gave a beautiful silver watch pocket Victorian the 19th century. It is running well, but it is running fast. Earn approx. 3-4 minutes per day. The lever at the rear set to its lowest setting. Is this something I could look into getting "fixed", or do I have expectations beyond the capabilities of as part of the old days? Thank you. Squeazy thank you, very helpful. Had to laugh at the "may need to see after 150 years … ! Curiously, this beautiful little show is not the jewel movement. Very surprising. Is that new knowledge change your answer? Thank you.
It depends on many factors, whether or not this is acceptable performance. For a lever standard exhaust is horrible performance. A watch with lever escapement in good condition must be accurate to 1 minute per day. For high quality watch, 30 seconds per week considered the norm. Lever escapements have been used on virtually all American and British hits of 1800. It has also been used in Swiss watches over the past 80 years (and better Swiss watches over the past 150 years). If it is a lever escapement, the causes most likely to run fast is that it is dirty, or magnetized. A dirty shows tend to balance amplitude low, which reduces the amount of time between each tick "and thus enables fast running shows. dissasembly The fix for this is full, cleaning and lubrication. Magnetism causes the spiral to stick together, which increases the frequency of vibration. There are also a handful of other potential problems, most of which are the result handling watch things incorrectly in the past. The spiral may be out of pan and rub the underside of the balance cock. The pin regulator could be closed too tight. Something even more damaging could be in place, like a coil spring that is not properly vibrated at equilibrium, or balance a screw missing. These are all things that good watchmaker should be able to easily spot the most. Vintage Watches Swiss made until about 1900 (and some even later than 1920) using a cylinder escapement. The cylinder escapement is not as accurate or precise as the anchor escapement, and therefore can not time just as effectively. 3-4 minutes per day would be acceptable, but could not probably do better with a good cleaning.
