To what extent do I wind my pocket watch?

I have a pocket watch Elgin in 1899 and I know how the wind, but I am not certain in or how many twists to the wind. Any additional information would be useful.

Wind once (a rotation) and see how long He then ticks find work how often you can be bothered its liquidation and distribution that number by how long it lasts one round and the multiply by pi. OR!
