Elgin Pocket Watch Marks

What all jewelers repair brand initials and date look inside the box when they work on old watches?

I have a ladies Elgin pocket watch. I think it is gold and is very ornate, with a picture of a village on the front and a bird with a banner and flowers on the back. Both are surrounded by a border of flowers and leaves, and the circumference of the watch has a border scalloped. The first jewelers mark I can read is 1935. I try to learn the age of the watch.
