Elgin Pocket Watch Serial

How do I determine how my pocket watch his grandfather is worth?

It is an Elgin. I looked up the number Serial (6530635) and determined that it was made in 1895. There is money but might be plated at once. Preserve great time. Condition is fair (except as plating rubbed off). It has a crystal plastic (not glass or) face. Ideas??
