Several years ago, when cable TV became apparent that because the mountain towns could not get TV reception. A company would erect a huge antenna on the highest nearby mountain and put the cables in the city, the load 3 or 4 dollars a month. They bought five or six channels. As young as I was, I remember Walter Cronkite reports that this new "cable TV" would be a boon to the American public because there would not pub. You've already paid for by Comercials your cable bill. Add a channel, pay more. All would be happy. The "Big 3" feared that they Customers have always had "free" that do not mind the commercials.
