What you have is a very, very beautiful series VII E. Watch Howard's original 18-karat gold. Howard was a small but prestigious watch company in the United States. While Elgin and Waltham made about 55 million and 45 million hits, respectively, the firm E. Howard only is about 70,000 total hits, making them relatively difficult to find. Most have been cased in 18K gold, and the case does fit watches Howard. Many lost their cases because of the demolition over the years, making them relatively difficult to find in the original case. Howards have been among the best watches Made in America. Your watch is part of a particular race of watches that have been completed between 10/08/1888 and 14/06/1890. Your watch is a "deer" grade, which means it is adjusted to the temperature, isochronous, and all six positions (this was Howard shows the highest degree). As almost all the Howards, the watch has 15 jewels. It is a watch size N, which is actually a little over 18 sizes. The "Justified" stamp on the case was marketing speak with a guarantee that if the cases were analyzed, it would mix to 18K. Ultimately, you have a very beautiful and very valuable watch. A reasonable estimate of value would be in the neighborhood of $ 2000-3000.
