Questions about hypnosis?

I had some questions. I went to a party where my friend has volunteered to be hypnotized by someone from the study. he used a pocket watch (I do not think it would work) on it. I sitting beside her and I looked I began to take the watch back and forth and I think I went under. My eyes are heavy and I fell asleep. How do I hypnotized if I was not the one he tried to hypnotize? anyone ever been hypnotized by accident?
