What are the good craft ideas for teens who are not too expensive?

I work in a residential facility for teens, my girls aged 12-17 on my camera, and I am looking for craft ideas that I can do with them instead of their therapy group every day that they receive. The main problems I have with forward ideas is $ $ the most probable cause of the supplies come of my own pocket. But the biggest problem is that there are somethings children are not allowed to have, with the type of installation is now some these girls are self-Harmers or violent. then I must be careful that the supplies are nothing they could injure themselves or someone else with.
