Pocket Watch Making Kits

Are these signs or not, I can not really say?

Well then my friend who is a girl (who happen to like) came the other evening. I cooked us dinner and we had planned to watch movies on. From the corner of my eye I saw something out of his pocket and open it. At first I thought it was his phone but his phone was lying on the table so I figure is a mirror or a these small things bring with them girls kit places. Later, she repeated her hands were cold and other things. Do you think it was allusions to the cold hands thing and why would she check her mirror and other things? Do you think she was sure she was looking pretty (she was great) for me or is it just something girls do?
