If my husband and I buy a new car or save money?

I have been e mailing him recently and we discussed whether we should buy a Mustang in 2008. He recently got promoted to PFC and the money is "a hole in our pockets" lol lol. We do not charge because I'm going to stay with our wonderful son to my mother in law and she pays for everything, including letting me use one of its cars. I start college again in the summer and of course I'll pay fees and for books, but its in the state and the local community college. My mother agreed to watch the baby while I attend classes is no charge for child care. He lives in the neighborhood and the Army has its meals and living expenses provided. He recently bought a new laptop and they have WiFi in place of the base, it will hang when it is at rest so basically it does not expens is. Ok, he wants a Mustang (for me) but is there any room for a baby in the back seat for approved child safety? What other cars would you recommend?

I'll let the obvious financial issues alone. Keep in mind that you will not be "without fresh "forever. I can tell you from experience: Mustangs and car seats do not go together. If you put the car seat behind the seat the passenger, the passenger must scoot up. This is not comfortable.
