How about some hockey questions to waste time?

1) Since goalies repetitively squirt their faces with water, do pads in their helmets get moldy and mildew?

2) Name a NHL player that you have NEVER seen in the media?

3) Should the little doors that allow players into the bench area, be pocket doors (The kind that slide into the wall, instead of opening into the bench)?

4) Would it be tacky to have a picture of yourself painted on your own goalie helmet?

5) Why is it that sometimes the time clock and score will disappear when your watch the game on TV?

6) Why haven’t they advanced locker rooms? They are still just big square rooms with locker against the wall. You would think that players would have their own private little area by now?

7) Do you think it’s strange that the Edmonton Oilers have the best player in the shootout this year and the best goaltender in the shootout, yet they are 14th in the Western Conference standing?

1) players are generally very protective of their gear to begin with, goaltenders and their masks are even worse.

2) I guess Peter Forsberg, Chris Simon and Mats Sundin wouldn’t be good examples? I will go with Stephane Yelle of the Calgary Flames. I honestly didn’t even realize he was still in the league since I don’t see much of Calgary.

3) I think it would be better to allow the doors to open out. It would get the trainers and backup goaltenders much more involved in the game.

4) I vote yes, but I love the idea. I would take it a step further and actually paint my face in scale on the mask so it looks like I am not wearing a mask save for the cage.

5) That’s because they know you just turned the game on and you don’t know the score. They do it on purpose to be annoying.

6) Actually they do have the private areas, but they are such a well hidden secret that neither you or the players have heard about it yet.

7) That doesn’t surprise me. They are getting to the shoot outs so much because they aren’t getting the wins. Maybe they aren’t winning anything unless they are getting to the shootout?
