Pocket Watch Opener Knife
Are pocket knives with catch pocket flicks / CA legal?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmHmnvmppIM is the knife that I would like, but as you can see, there is a little man on the knife which can be opened directly from the pocket. I do not really seen this type of knife in California, so I was wondering if there was a law against them.
Some people call it "the style of a open-air, but I think it is a mark of Emerson. In reality, any blade can be opened this way using an old something that I will not discuss here. But the fact is, it is very unlikely that these activities are illegal. Non-spring knives to hand are legal in CA, including those with the thumb studs or holes. A pocket catches is no different: It is part of the blade which is used to manually move the blade in its open position. There is no button or spring. These drawings are pretty cool, even if a warning I'll give you this done repeatedly will eventually tear your pocket Pant! Like any knife or a gun, you drive, do not be hooligans, and you'll be fine.
