Pocket Watch Sale

Should I buy a PSP or a Portable DVD player?
I love to watch movies and I would like to watch them on the go. The question is, with what? I’ve heard the PSP can play movies on it but the screen looks a little small for me and I’m not sure if I want t re-buy all of my movies on UMD format. But hey, it fits in my pocket! I’ve also seen some really good portable DVD players for sale, but they require a carrying bag and headphones (and so does the PSP). But, then again, I don’t have to re-buy my movies in order to watch them. No reaching in my pocket convenience, though. So, what should I do?
Overall, I’m leaning towards the PSP.
If you decide on the PSP, forget about buying movies on UMD. There’s no point, and even the studios have abandoned the format.
You can rip and convert your DVDs to a video format that the PSP can handle. There’s free software available that automates this process.
The PSP can also play music files (MP3, WMV) Again, there’s free software to automate this procedure.
The PSP can also play games if that’s of any interest to you. You can either buy them on UMD, or download them from the Sony store online.
Finally the PSP can go online, via wifi. It has a web browser but it’s not very easy to use.
Sony is releasing a new version of the PSP in September called the PSP-Go. This model is mostly the same the as the current PSP but is a bit smaller, and uses a slide-screen to reveal the controls. I don’t recommend it very much for playing games but if you’re looking primarily for a media player, it may be worth checking into.
