Corum Romulus Perpetual Calendar
Corum has established a tight timetable in Romulus its perpetual classic collection of watches. Offered in an edition of 25 pieces, the Romulus Perpetual Calendar features a polished 41mm red gold case, a brushed hand-engraved bezel Roman figure, and a dial decorated with sunburst guilloche pattern. The perpetual calendar – showing day, date, month, leap year and phases of the moon – are clearly organized around the center of the dial, and openings in the day and date subdials reveal elements of the complexity the underlying mechanism.
A sapphire window in the bottom of the case reveals a complex hand-engraved CO-183 automatic movement. Each element of the bridges and rotor are refined with a delicate scroll pattern, the rotor also features the signature brand Corum relief. The pendulum alternates at a pace of 18,000 alternations per hour, power reserve and the barrel is 45 hours.
The Corum Romulus Perpetual Calendar watch is completed by a crocodile strap and a buckle in 18K red gold is engraved with the Corum logo. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters.
Chronograph Dewitt Academia Night
DeWitt Academia Night Chronograph measures short periods of time in a day and night mode. Offering both fun and functionality, this creation, dressed in a noble species with an "Imperial Columns" motif, indicates day and night with superluminova alternating between white and black areas. Sea-Dweller DEEPSEA by ROLEX
The Rolex Sea-Dweller, always my favorite Rolex made its debut at Baselworld 2008 with the new designation, "DEEPSEA. Its name comes from the "Deep Sea Special, the experimental prototype which in 1960 reached a depth of 10,916 meters in the Mariana Trench. For 2008, engineers at Rolex SA made the Sea-Dweller larger, more resistant to water and essentially changed about everything except the ultra reliable 3135 movement internally.
Alpina Extreme Diver 1000M by
Alpina has recently presented the new Extreme Diver 1000 m. It has a huge 48mm stainless steel case with sapphire crystal and display back. It has a helium valve and a resistance water 1000 meters or 3333 feet. The movement is an automatic caliber Al-525, with a power reserve of 42 hours. It comes in a cool box that like an oxygen tank, seen here. The stainless steel version is $ 2,859 and the all black PVD treated stainless steel version is $ 3,333.
Overseas U.S. Special Edition by VACHERON CONSTANTIN
Vacheron Constantin has recently published the Overseas Special Edition U.S. shows. It has a black dial with red accents oxidized. The watch is limited to 100 editions and is destined for the U.S. only. It comes with two straps: one black alligator strap and a black rubber strap, which marks the first time VC has used a rubber strap. Belting have become very popular in recent years because of their comfort and sportiness.
