Men's Magazines – What's Up with Booze ads?
I sometimes look at the details, Esquire, Maxim, etc. The only thing that strikes me is the number of advertisements for alcohol. I know some guys like to drink, but you would think they spend their money on other things alcohol. What is the problem? And what happens with all those ads showing too? Do not think the marketing guys are just drunks Rolex to wear?
In fact, if you are looking for stereotypes with a high degree of overall accuracy, the ads are a pretty good place to find them. I would like this means that people (and in particular, men who read magazines for men) are a target ripe for more advertising alcohol than the general public, and that men are particularly likely to wear wrist-watches high end (of guilt).
