It was a hot, stuffy, overcast day. Scott was lying in his front yard when Zach came out of his house wearing shorts and a wristwatch.
“There was a robbery at the bank earlier, and the robber fits your description.” siad Scott. Zach laid down on the hood of his pickup truck and said, “This truck and I have been up at Pine Ridge visiting my aunt all day. That’s 500 km away in case you didn’t know.”
“You’re odviously lying” said Scott. How did he know Zach was lying?

Zach lay on the hood of his pickup truck, but if he’d driven 500km it would have been too hot for him to do that.
